Seeking The Kingdom A Study of Matthew's Gospel
What were the teachings of Jesus and the apostles about? What were Jesus’ parables mostly about? What was the Sermon on the Mount about?
Might the church be missing something really important? Might you be missing the number one thing Jesus taught on? Jesus talked about The kingdom of God. You say, "Come on, is that really important? If it was, we would hear teaching all the time on it and every Christian would know exactly what the kingdom of God is.
If it was that important Jesus would tell us it was really important. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus does just that: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
In this series, Pastor Steve digs deeply in Jesus' message recorded in the Gospel of Matthew and teaches us about The Kingdom of God.

Resources for Seeking The Kingdom
Your support of The Journey radio and teaching ministry provides the resources for the distribution of The Journey to listeners through the USA and around the world.
We are pleased to introduce you to a wonderful resource during the Matthew series: Hard to Believe by John MacArthur.
Jesus Christ did not die on the cross so you and I could have a nice day.
This book is John MacArthur's unflinching, unapologetic treatise on the modern tendency to alter the true message of Christianity in order to meet the whims and desires of a culture hoping for nonconfrontational messages, easy answers, and superficial commitments.
Too many people just want a Madison Avenue Jesus to make them well, make them happy, and make them prosperous. But Jesus Christ isn't a personal genie. He is the Savior. He died in agony to satisfy the wrath of a holy God and to forgive the sins of humankind. Faith in Him demands a willingness to make any sacrifice He asks. The hard truth about Christianity is that the cost is high, but the rewards are priceless: abundant and eternal life that comes only from faithfully follwing Christ.
We want to send you Hard to Believe as our way of saying “Thank you!” when you make a donaion of $25 or more.
Seeking The Kingdom Bible Study
If we want to seek the Kingdom of God, theologian T. M. Moore warns us that we’d “better be ready to rumble.” Why? Because, as Jesus said, it is necessary for us to “force” our way into the Kingdom of God (Lk. 16:16). And the reason for this is that resistance to Kingdom progress is so constant and, yes, so violent. In this seven-day study plan, T. M. explains what and where the Kingdom is, and the tools we’ll need for our journey of seeking.
