I John Series

Finding What's Real in a World of Fake

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life. (1 John 5:13)

Fake. We hear that word a lot these days. 'Fake News' has become a battle cry for some, and 'Keeping it 100,' a mantra for others. We are repelled by hypocrisy and we crave authenticity. And while this deep desire for the genuine article impacts our relationships, politics, and pop culture, it's also reflected in our faith. The Apostle John tackles this topic head on in the Book of I John, which is our primary study this summer. Beginning Wednesday, June 3rd, (and running through July) Steve DeWitt will take us through this book passage by passage. In introducing this study, Steve said, "I hope the fruit of this series is that every genuine Christian here is solidly assured of their salvation and every non-Christian is shaken up and embraces the real gospel and displays real evidences of genuine salvation."

Our "Thank You" for
your support!

The Journey operates by the generous support of Bethel Church located in Northwest Indiana where Steve DeWitt is the senior pastor, and listeners like you. With the Summer months upon us and the push to get outdoors after many weeks of isolation, we could really use your financial gifts during June.

As with our other series where Pastor Steve teaches through a book of the Bible, we'd like to send you ESV Scripture Journal for 1-3 John as our special thank you for your gift of support.
